Vintage Brass
Is this rare? Is it vintage or antique?
I do not know much about antiques and vintage, but I know that this butter dish is quite old. I think it is brass. You can say that over the years the brass oxidized because it has darker in the points. I found in a house that is now a historic site. I want to know who did and when. The only problem is that theres no brand, no name and no symbol on it. Nothing. The only clue I have is that the handle (button used to raise) is a pineapple. Can someone tell me what the company uses Pineapple as a design? It looks pretty old and if you know anything about this or anywhere I can find something about it online, can you give me a link so I can look myself. (To compare)
It is almost impossible to say anything about your dish. You should take it to a fine antiques dealer in your area. They could at least make things happen. They may be able to give you a general idea. They can tell you where you can perhaps they are seeking. Good luck!
