Why do so many cars in Israel there have red and white reflective tape on the back bumper?
I just visited Israel last week and I've been wondering why so many cars there have the reflective tape on the back bumper. Not all cars had it, so it doesn't seem like some sort of law. I've tried to look it up everywhere and can't find any answers on it. It's driving me crazy now.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
There is a certain reflection standard for the rear bumper area. Some cars come with manufacturer supplied equipment that meets that requirement.
Others that don't meet this requirement must add the tape.
This is not a law; it is a regulation. If you do not comply, your car will fail the annual test.
