How do I take 3 seconds off my hurdling time in 4 months?
My current hurddling time is around 19.75. And i need it to be 16.74 to qualify for state. lat year was my first year in track and i had lots of trouble with shin splints so i couldnt even really run through them. So now I have found away to get rid of those and I just need advice on how to be faster. I practice sprints everyday and do workouts to make my legs stronger.
increase strength in legs and middle, but also in arms. swinging your arms in the right way can make a big difference. practice often but dont overdo it. practice the hurdler stretch on the ground to get the motion even better, and try different techniques. just use the tips of your feet, dont even let your heels or middle of your foot touch the ground. lean a bit forward as if you want to fall flat on your face, and claw the ground hard with your tiptoes. dont take too many steps before each hurdle, make it a steady movement.
