Purple Color
What color compliments purple and grey?
i've got a few black and white photos i want to put on a medium shade color purple wall. I have some frames for the photos and i want to paint the frames a color that would compliment the wall and photos. Any suggestions?

When framing art, it should always be the art (or photograph) that dictates the color and style of the frame. The wall-color is not as important.
Since your photos are black-and-white, your best choices would be black, white, silver (either shiny or brushed), pewter, or grey. My favorite among those would be black or dark grey ... or pewter if I wanted a metallic.
Here's a really pretty (and easy!) paint treatment you can try ... all you need is black paint (acrylic craft paint or spray paint) and silver craft paint. Give the frames a base-coat of the black and let it dry ... then go over it (lightly!) with the silver (you can mix it with water or acrylic medium to make it more transparent).
It's really quick and cheap to do, and the result is unusual because the light will catch the silver ... sometimes it will look silver, sometimes grey, sometimes shiny black. You could do the same treatment using silver over white ... or, do some of each, and alternate the frames on the wall. In any case, have fun with it!
