Should I give my friend a 2nd chance? May a lady answer only please?
I love her to death but sometimes she upsets me. She has made fun of my physical appearance. She has said that I have a big forehead, I need lip injections, that I'm flat chested, I'm close to being scrawny, and she used to call me ostrich because legs are long, skinny, and white because in gym class we had to wear gym shorts. She also said I try too hard to get attention and she has called me mean. I personally think I'm generally a nice person. I know once she said she wishes she could dye her hair brunette so she could look like me, so I don't know whether she is saying these things out of jealousy, because she knows it will bug me, or because she thinks it's true.
Why not give her another chance if it means that much to you. But first I would sit her down and discuss with her how what she says bothers you and you find it mean and rude. Ask her to refrain from saying it, and see where that goes. If she continues, then drop her. Nobody needs someone like that by their side. It might be her insecurities that she needs to deal with on her own.
