Natural Pad
I want to make a natural heating pad, but don't have a microwave. What should I do?
I love the cloth bags filled with rice or buckwheat, but I don't have a microwave. It seems dangerous to put one of those in the oven.
The only thing I can think of is to have a bag with a zipper, so I can heat up the contents and then pour them into the bag after they're hot. Can anyone else suggest something that might be less hassle?
we also used to use a hot water bottle. you just run hot tap water, or could even put it on the stove to heat and then pour into bottle. Or you could just get a microwave. you can get them at yard sales sometimes for like $5.00
Way Way back there they used to have soapstone bed warmers. it was just a slab of soapstone with a wire handle that was heated on the woodstove. You would have to go to an antique store now to get one.
