I am Making Handcrafted Jewelry and Candles. I'd Like to make?
Mini sample bags to hand out, leave at different places, etc... can anyone give me suggestions on exactly what to put in the mini sample bags. So far I have come up with a catalog with my business card on the front, but that's it. I would like to know what I can put inside the mini (Glad Sandwich Baggies) bags to draw the attention of potential and/or curious customers. Advertising tips needed as well.

If you have a color printer you can do this (it's what I do). You obviously put your little sample things in their, but you create a color brochure that shows off your product. You make sure that your name, phone number, e-mail address and website(if you have one) is on the brochure where it will be noticed.You also want to include what payment types you accept, (i.e. debit, credit, cash,checks, multiple payments in arrangement.) under each pic you insert a short but becoming description of the product and it's different shades or scents or whatever. If you do custom orders you will want that in big print. I can tell you that you have to offer something that your competitors don't. put your flier and a business card in with your one or two free sample products. Now, I am going to let you in on a little secret= since you are dealing mainly in women's products you will want to leave your gift bags in places where women are not going to be distracted by other interesting things, (i.e. a tire shop, oil change places, mechanics shops and the like. ) As for packaging, go to your local dollar store and get the little bags that are like 2 for a dollar and use those. Remember to keep receipts for everything for you tax write off purposes. No matter how small the purchase may seem, they really do add up at the end of the year.
