Can I melt the cellophane to use as a plastic solid in craft projects?
Cellophane seems everywhere and when heat is applied, it will shrivel and eventually liquefies and cools to a solid very clear and firm. This can be melted in a container and used for pouring or dipping to use it as a cheap, sturdy plastic readily available in art / craft projects? The point behind the issue is to reuse / recycle material freely available, rather than buy new craft supplies, but all recommendations of other materials have been appreciated as well.
sounds like it's going to smoke a lot of plastic, so maybe be sure to do so in a well ventilated area, I suggest you try it and see if it works (in preparation with sand, so if it goes wrong and explodes the container or something)
