what is stronger kevlar cord, paracord, or vectran cord.?
I need to buy some strong cord.
If you have a lot of money to spend then buy kevlar, of vectran, or vectra fiber polymer. These are extremely tough, high melting, and have VERY high tensile strengths. Kevlar fiber has a tensile strength higher than steel.
If you want a cord that can withstand about 200 lbs, you can save ALOT of money and use 550 paracord (about 100 ft for $7-8 bucks on eBay - less for larger lots, or special buys). But, keep it away from a flame, because it will melt quickly with fire.
